Sunny Lady conducts offshore assignments for Aker BP and ConocoPhillips

Mapping of the seabed and surroundings provides new knowledge about environmental impact and a basis for further offshore work.

Sunny Lady is a multifunctional vessel adapted for fishing, offshore assignments, and research, developed with a focus on environment and flexibility.

Teige Rederi has completed an offshore assignment for Aker BP and ConocoPhillips in the North Sea, where Sunny Lady was used for environmental mapping in collaboration with expert communities led by DNV.

The assignment consisted of an environmental survey on the Norwegian continental shelf in the southern part of the North Sea. The expedition was carried out in close cooperation with expert communities led by DNV, with the aim of investigating environmental impact around selected offshore installations.

On board, a specialized team of nine people participated, in addition to the vessel's own crew. Together, they conducted investigations, including seabed sampling and analyses of conditions around the installations.

"The execution has gone according to plan, and we've had good conditions to complete the assignment. These are operations the vessel handles well, in close cooperation with the professional personnel on board," says skipper Ivar Taranger.

The client is also clear in their assessment of the vessel's performance:

"Sunny Lady performed very well for the sediment sampling. The vessel provides good working conditions both on deck and in the facilities on board, and the crew has been skilled and solution-oriented. Efficient execution also meant that the expedition was completed faster than planned," says Kristin Ravnås, Discipline Lead at AkerBP.

The assignment provides increased knowledge about the environmental state on the Norwegian continental shelf, and forms an important basis for further work with safe and responsible offshore operations.

Teige Gruppen views the execution as an important step in the further development of the shipping company's operations, and as confirmation that the vessel is suitable for this type of assignment going forward.
