The 1967 photo shows Terje Teige on board the vessel “Teigenes”. He founded the Teigenes shipping company, which is the origin of today's Teige Gruppen. When Terje passed away in 1985, he left his life's work in the safe hands of the younger generations.
The Teige Gruppen currently consists of a number of companies in the fields of trade, healthcare, real estate and shipping. The land-based activities are grouped under the holding company Kaston AS, while the sea-based businesses are organized through Sansibar AS.
Teige Gruppen works long-term to create value for customers, employees and communities. With solid professional expertise and strong local roots, the group builds on a clear ownership and a desire to contribute positively where we are present.
The structure of the group facilitates collaboration across companies and industries, and we have clear ambitions for further growth and development.
Today, Teige Gruppen is a great example of how strong traditions can be combined with the ability to adapt, seize new opportunities and develop further.
The head office is currently located at Eggesbønes in Herøy Municipality, but will be moved to new facilities at Hareid at the start of 2026.
