A headquarters for the future – built on history

Centrally located in Hareid, the past and future have found a common meeting place.

Sigurd Teige presents "52 Breivik Road," a room named after the address in Shetland where Terje Teige stayed between missions across the North Sea during the war.

Teige Gruppen has now established its new headquarters in the heart of Hareid. We moved into the new premises in February, and in the months that followed, more and more has fallen into place. The move marks an important step in consolidating the organization, strengthening community, and building upon a history that spans generations.

The first thing visitors notice in the building is the interplay between new and old. Original details from the former bank building have been restored and seamlessly integrated into the new surroundings. For us, it has been important to preserve the building's soul, while adapting the premises to modern needs and working methods.

The new premises have been developed with functionality, well-being, and collaboration in mind. Our ambition has been to create a headquarters that continues to tell the story. For example, the meeting rooms and departmental zones have been named after places connected to war history, shipping history, and maritime heritage. These serve as small reminders of events and values that have helped shape the group. The names are also a tribute to Terje Teige – a central figure in the group's history and father to the current group CEO. Through his commitment to preserving and conveying this part of the heritage, he left a lasting legacy. Values such as courage, responsibility, proactivity, and long-term thinking remain strong within the group, and these are values we carry forward in our work to develop the business for future generations.

At the same time, the building facilitates a good working environment where we can thrive, collaborate closely, and experience a strong sense of community in our daily work.

For us, the new headquarters is more than just a workplace. It is a focal point for the entire group – a place where history and future meet, and where together we lay the foundation for continued growth and development. We aim to create a positive work environment that provides energy and inspiration, and excellent venues for competence development, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the group.
