Teige Gruppen has ownership and activities in several business segments such as fisheries, shipping, agencies, real estate and health. Today, the group is headquartered at Westinghuset on Eggesbøes. Increasing activity and growth in several of Teige Gruppen`s business areas have created a need for more and more space:
Our employees live both around Sunnmøre, and spread over several branches from Harstad in the north to Denmark in the south. For a long time, we have seen the need for a larger gathering space and a location that both simplifies logistics and strengthens recruitment opportunities and access to manpower,” says Sigurd Teige, CEO of Teige Gruppen.
He clarifies that Hareid is located between the maritime cluster at Søre Sunnmøre and Ålesund, which offers great opportunities for the future in terms of both growth and recruitment.
When the premises are fully renovated and ready, in about a year's time, much of the operations and central functions will be moved to Hareid. Westinghuset at Eggesbønes will maintain operations as a branch office, where employees will have great flexibility between departments.
We look forward to establishing ourselves at Hareid, which we consider to be the most central location in Sunnmøre. This will allow us to develop a good organization for all our companies in the future. We want to develop the building as a signal building on the quay at Hareid, an exciting environment with a focus on growth and development, says Teige.
